I don't think the game can be rated on a single rate system...so:

Graphics: 7/10

The textures are amazing. From the smallest detail like the correct positioning of shadows to the water reflections to the major things like Mountains and Crystals. The visual elements of this game are really really great. However, the fact that the video game doesn't take advantage of the high end retail cards is a dissapointment. I would prefer a max resolution of 1600x1200 or 2400x1800 over the 1280x1024 they currently allow. There also seems to be a major problem with the game handling max settings. I've noticed myself(BFG 6800GT OC) and have heard from others using ATI Cards(x800) that the game freaks out when you set AA to 4x bump quality all the way up and run at 1280x1024. I, myself, have experienced in numerous parts of the game my entire screen going white.

Gameplay Mechanics: 8/10

The gameplay mechanics for this game are among top tier. There is a slight problem with tab selecting in that it selects monsters that are obviously out of range and not part of the mob you are currently fighting...which appears to be a major problem, atleast for me. There are also other small bugs like the Adrenaline glitch where your warriors adrenaline recharges but never displays the change.

Replay Value: 8/10

Yes the story is weak...but the classes are so vastly different that playing through the game once or even twice more isn't a painstaking task. It takes a bit more time to get into the game than it did the first time through but once you hit Borlis Pass the game becomes a totally different experience on your new character(s). There is a new level of fun involved in each new primary class you select.

Community: 8/10

Though the developers have little control over the community this is a huge part of a games dynamics. The developer can target a game to an audience...and the audience they target towards makes up the community. The community for this game is impressive. Though it appears to be going downhill since release there are still a number of players at any given outpost, in any given district, at any given time that are looking to help new players. I rarely find this in other games and it's a pleasant change of scenery.

PvP: ??/10

This should be addressed in deciding a final rating for this game as much of the game revolves around a PvP aspect. However, I've had little interest in PvP and thus have only played a few PUGs in the random arena. I'll leave this for someone with more experience.

End-Game Play: 6/10

Though there are things you can do after you've completed the game...such as FoW or UW runs there appears to be little inspiration to continue playing the game on a character that has completed the storyline. The drops in UW/FoW are becoming increasingly lame and there really isn't a purpose to continue going into the UW/FoW once you've seen all of it. At this point PvP becomes increasingly attractive but for the sole reason that there isn't anything else to do(so i've been back playing counter strike more often again ) If you aren't interested in FoW or 15K armor to make yourself look UBERLEET at the game for no benefit other than vanity...then you really don't have anything to do after completion.

Economy: 7/10

One of the worst economically focused development teams I've had an experience with....but in their defense it's the ONLY economically focused development team I've been in contact with . The economy is suffering. I noticed just recently when I started a second character and have gone through the Frost Gate mission and have barely had enough gold to keep Salvage and ID Kits in my inventory. Those of us that ahve been around since release, or even before in alot of cases, have gold...we have the means to attain gold...for the newcomers it's growing increasingly difficult for these players to even keep stock of the most basic items in the game. I applaud ArenaNet for making efforts to correct the economy...but their efforts are in the wrong places at the wrong times for the wrong reasons.

overall: 7.5/10

9.5 out of 10 ( My Review )
Most addictive game since NeverWinter Nights and Half-Life 2 for me.

My only complaint would be I wish it had more interior scenearios (houses, temples, buildings of all kinds) like NeverWinter, and a more interactive storyline with a deeper story, though the existing one is good.

But the graphics are the best I've seen since HL2, and as an artist, eye candy accounts for a big chunk of goodness.
